When I saw these viral Greek-style smash burgers floating around the internet I just had to try them! I’m a huge fan of Greek food, and they definitely did not disappoint. Try them for a quick dinner!🥙

Instructions:

1. Grate the cucumber on the large holes of a box grater. Using a kitchen towel, wring or press out any excess liquid from the cucumber.

2. In a medium bowl, combine the grated cucumber, yogurt, lemon juice, dill, mint, garlic, oil and salt. Refrigerate up to 3 days covered.

3. For the burgers, combine the ground meat, onion, garlic, mint, and seasonings until fully combined. Roll into 4 balls.

4. Heat a flat top grill or cast iron pan over medium high heat. Place the meat on the hot surface then, using a heavy pan or burger press, smash the pita down on top of the burger until it’s as flat as you can make it. Close the grill if using and cook for 3-4 minutes until the meat is crispy and cooked through. Flip over for about 1 minute then serve with your toppings! (makes 4).
