7 Tips to Beat the Bloat & Feel Fabulous

If you want to feel full of energy and in tune with your body, try these quick tips to help support your digestive system!

1. Eat probiotic foods

This includes sauerkraut, tempeh and yoghurt (if you are not lactose intolerant), or take a probiotic supplement.

2. Avoid high fructose fruit

Instead support your digestive system by opting for low fructose fruits, which include: berries, kiwi fruit and grapefruit!

3. Say goodbye to refined sugars

In the gut, sugar can ferment and cause gas, which in excess can cause bloating. Instead enjoy low fructose fruits.

4. Chew your food

This will help support your digestive system, I cannot express how important this is! Usually most of us eat on the go and don't sit down and take the time to chew our food properly, which can lead to bloating!

5. Limit your gluten intake if you are intolerant

This can help reduce bloating, especially if you are gluten intolerant. Opt for low gluten breads, which include rye and spelt bread. If you struggle with bloating, its best to book in for a one on one consult with a qualified nutritionist or dietitian.

7. Limit your dairy intake if you are intolerant

Lay low on dairy products if you are intolerant to dairy, as this can be a cause of bloating. Limit or eliminate dairy for a few days and see how you feel!
